Soucieux d'un langage architectural cohérent tant du point de vue formel que fonctionnel, cet immeuble mixte (commerces, bureaux et logements) a été organisé suivant une superposition des fonctions. Au rez-de-chaussée, les activités commerciales et artisanales, au premier étage les bureaux et au-delà les appartements.

Les activités commerciales nécessitant une présence et une couverture vers l'espace public, se trouvent aménagées derrière des parois totalement transparentes offrant une luminosité et une visibilité optimale et garantissant ainsi leurs attractivités sur le site de Belval.

Les appartements sont implantés du 2e au 6e étage et sont organisés dans un monolithe blanc et massif contrastant avec les niveaux inférieurs.
La transparence du rez-de-chaussée et le joint creux du premier étage contribuent à donner une légèreté à l'immeuble et une impression de flottaison au bloc d'habitations.

Having in mind a consistent architectural language, both formal and functional, this mixed use building (with commercial, office and housing functions) was organized in accordance to the superposition of functions. Namely, the ground floor accommodates commercial and craft activities, the 1st floor is dedicated for the offices, and everything above for the housing.

The commercial activities requiring the presence and the opening to the public space are equipped with completely transparent glass facades, thus offering brightness and optimal visibility, guaranteeing their attractiveness in the Belval area.

The apartments are situated from 2nd to the 6th floors, and are organized in a white, massive monolith, contrasting the lower public floors.
The transparency of the ground floor and the recessed joint of the 1st floor contribute to the lightness of the building and give an impression of the ‘floating’ housing block.
